Warrior Build

This is Team Maplestory's very own Warrior guide. This guide will contain information like where to put your SP, AP builds, training places, pros and cons, and possibly more.

_______________________________________________________

HOW TO START
First you need to create a character in a world. Change your character's looks and styles before entering the game. With the new GMS patch, you do not need to do the dice roll. You also cannot choose whether you go to the beginner training field or not. Click on anyone that has a funny light bulb on their head. They will help you level up and get ready for the real Maple Story world. Train on snails do quests and when you get to level 10 go to South Perry to go on a ship to Lith Harbour. When you get there train until your are level 10, not any further. Go to Dances with Balrog at Perion to learn the Warrior ways. He will offer you some quests to level up but from here, its pretty much your own choice what you do. But there are better ways to be a warrior than just randomly put anything into your AP and SP. So that's why there are guides on how to be a warrior.
Here are some things to do on Maple Island

Starting from Level 1 to Level 6, you should have no problem if you do all the quests on Maple Island.
Use quests to maximise your potential in Maple Island

Level 7: Training on Blue Snails and some frequent Red Snails would do good. Places: Snail Hunting Ground II, Snail Hunting Ground III, A Split Road
Level 8: Training on Blue Snails and Red Snails will be the best. Place: A Split Road
Level 9: Train on Blue Snails, with some frequent Red Snails, Pigs and Mushrooms. Places: A Split Road, Mushroom Garden, The Field East of Amherst
Level 10: Off to Victoria Island!

>3rd Job Skills are cool and vary a lot. From ranged to elemental.
>Has the highest melee damage.

Cons
>Has least MP in the game
>Sadly, their not ranged.
>Damage are low and unstable.
>Seldom wanted for PQ.

As a normal warrior, you will get 5 SP. It is now very easy to know where to put it because of the Auto Assign but you micht want to know different ways of building. There are 4 major skills. They are STR DEX INT and LUK. You will not need INT and LUK because they don't affect a warrior. STR will increase your attack. DEX will increase your accuracy and you will have a more stable attack. HP and MP can also be raised by skill points but it is highly unrecommended.

1. Auto Assign Build (recommended)

3 STR 2 DEX

2. The STR Build 1

4 STR 1 DEX (Get extra dex from equips)

3. The STR Build 2(Not recommended)

5 STR 0 DEX (Get extra dex from equips)

4. The HP Build (Not recommended)

2 STR 1 DEX 2 HP

The STR build 1 can potentially be good if you are funded. You will need Dex Scrolls.

Now its time for your AP. Your AP is very important. The way of the warrior's AP can differ depending on your 2nd Job Advancement but it is not important right now. AP can allow you to use special skills that will help you train. Most of them will use mana to give you some sort of buff or more powerful attack. Here is a list of all the warrior skills.

Training
You need to kill monsters to level up and you know that. But there are faster ways to do it than others, so here is a guide that might help you.

LVL 10 - 11 Should be spent doing the Beginner Warrior's Quest 1 & 2.

From LVL 12 onwards,
LVL 12 - 14 : All types of snails and some slimes
[Henesys Hunting Ground I]
[Dungeon, Southern Forest I]
LVL 15 - 20 : You might want to train on slimes and some pigs
[Dungeon, Southern Forest I]
[Hidden Street : The Pig Beach]
LVL 21 - 24 : Horned Mushroom, Wild Boar and Axe Stumps, with some Dark Axe Stumps should do the trick.
[West Rocky Mountain IV]
[Dungeon, Southern Forest IV]
LVL 25 - 30 : KPQ might be the best way to level up.

Well now that you are level 30 now what? Choose your 2nd Job Advancement!! Now what to choose? here are some pointers to push you the right way! They all have pros and cons so I don't reccomend any of them and I don't disreccomend any either.

Spearman
Pros

>Spears and Polearms (the weapons that Spearmen use) have the longest range of the warrior weapons, thus making mobbing more effective.

>Higher MP than Fighters and Pages.

>Get Hyper Body, a fantastic party skill, which is almost a requirement for any successful boss party.

>When stabbing (as opposed to slashing), spears will deal 1.5x damage; when slashing (as opposed to stabbing), polearms will deal 1.5x damage.

Cons
>Lower HP than Fighters and Pages.

>One of the slower leveling classes.

>Can't equip shields (spears and polearms are 2-handed) so they lost out on extra defence.

>A very large damage range.

>Spear slashes do 60% of the damage of spear stabs, and polearm stabs do 60% of the damage of polearm slashes. This is what gives Spear(wo)men their unstable damage, even after gaining mastery

Fighter
Pros
>Fighters have more HP than Pages and Spearmen, or any other class at 2nd Job for that matter

>They get Rage, raising the damage done by a large amount

>Good at killing individual monsters

>Swords are generally fast
Cons
>Axes have low range.

>Less MP than all classes.

Page
Pros

>Higher MP than Fighters.

>Acquire Threaten, a fantastic defensive and offensive skill.

>Unqiue as it is a rarely chosen class
Cons
>Lower HP than Fighters.

>Lower MP and HP than Spearmen.

>Damage is lowest of all Warriors but problem solved after Mastery or 3rd job.
